The inside of this tent is extremely precious and it would be a shame if the elements ruined your items and beautiful interior living spaces. that's why Sentinel Exclusive Fabric has been specifically chosen to represent the Tahiti's Flysheet. It's one of the strongest materials offering up to two times the strength compared to standard tent material as well as being extremely water-resistant with a Hydrostatic Head of 5000mm HH. Not only does it provide ultimate protection against rainfall, but it also holds its own by having a ColourLok™ UV Protection Layer woven into the fabric. This layer assists colour retention to make sure the colour of your tent doesn't fade quickly when it is pitched frequently and for long periods of time. This 150D Polyester material is more than capable of shielding your interior from rainfall and other elements, however, how is the surface of your tent protected? Well, an extraordinarily Waterproof PE Groundsheet is in place. This Sheet is Fully Sewn-In and has an additional external Storm Skirt to prevent water, bugs and cold draughts from entering your comfortable living space. The skirt creates an underlap to provide this level of protection and follows suit with the Flysheet by having Fully Factory Taped Seams to ensure a watertight seal all-around your tent.
To support such a behemoth of a structure, AirBeam® Inflatable Technology is used to stand strong in the toughest of conditions. These Beams are just as robust as traditional poles but have the unique property of ultra-fast pitching, and packing when complemented by the AirSpeed® Inflation valves. To make use of this feature, simply locate your inflation valves and attach your included Double Action Pump to begin inflating your tents beams. No air can escape the valves as they use an always locked system to give you an accurate PSI with every pitch. When you're ready to pack the Tahiti away, you can manually set the valve to unlocked and watch the air depress out of the valves with just as much ease as it took to inflate them. The construction of the Tahiti involves using heavy-duty materials which is what adds up to a complete 50kg+ weight, to ensure the tent has an extremely stable structure, SuperBeams™ are used to replace the normal AirBeams® in typical Vango Air Tents. These enhanced beams come with increased diameters to upgrade the air capacity and strength of each beam. All of these components result in an absolutely solid tent that can withstand peak wind speeds and still remain unscathed. Although this is true, it's never a bad thing to be assuringly safe, so Vango has included their renowned TBS®II feature. This is a Tension Band System that involves using two adjustable straps located at your main beam to create an integral triangular shape which is the optimal tent shape. To enable the feature, connect the straps to the top of your beam and tension them accordingly, when this is done, your beam will have added bracing ability against intense lateral wind speeds. This could potentially prevent your tent from failing in extreme weather conditions, it's not a likely-to-be-used feature but is good to have for people that plan to take the tent on trips to unpredictable ecosystems. If you don't want to use it you can neatly tuck it away and forget it is there to make sure it doesn't obstruct access.
The interior of the Tahiti is second to none, the pure amount of space you get throughout each section of the tent is perfectly designed to house 8 people with absolute ease. The addition of an integrated awning creates a much larger area for you to enjoy your holiday in. The Side Pod area can be deployed to hold your essentials or it can be used at a utility station, this leaves your living area and awning free of clutter. There's plenty of room for chairs, tables and even an optional inner bedroom to be placed on one half of the main living room, this is purchased separately but can provide extra capacity to accommodate up to a maximum of 10 people. If you choose to layout your tent in such a way that boxes you in by closing the main entrance, you can utilise one of the side doors to gain an astronomical amount of space. The incorporation of Villa Construction into the design of the Tahiti means your sidewalls are positioned upright to allow for more headroom towards the edges of the tent. This expands the interior to emulate a much bigger area such as that of a 9 or even 10 person tent, when the room is no bigger than a larger tent. Large Diamond Pro Windows are located around the tent which allows a substantial amount of natural light to fill your awning and main room, they also offer a crystal clear view. If you wish to have more privacy, you can enable the Toggleable Privacy Curtains that can be adjusted with double zips. Progressing to the rear of the tent, an extra-wide Clear Access opening will lead you into the Extra Long Midnight Bedroom. With up to 70cm of space per person, the Family Built Bedroom offers ideal width for each camper with the ability to easily use airbeds and camp beds. You can have one spacious-6-person room or use the inner dividers to arrange a 120cm/160cm/140cm configuration for added privacy between campers. You may be asking where the other 2 campers will sleep? Well, the Side Pod is so extensive that it can easily sleep the last 2 people with yet again, enough space for an airbed. The Midnight Inner within the Main Bedroom is capable of blocking the morning sunlight out to let campers have a full-natural sleep cycle. This room also has ventilation panels to ensure you have a comfortable temperature whilst you sleep but this also helps tackle condensation build-up.
