The Whale External Gas BBQ Easi-Slide Socket SO1000B provides a convenient external LPG connection for caravans, motorhomes and campervans, featuring a built-in safety coupling, easy one-handed operation and compatibility with Whale Easi-Slide protective lids.
Designed to make outdoor cooking more convenient, this genuine Whale gas outlet allows compatible gas barbecues and outdoor appliances to connect to your leisure vehicle’s existing onboard LPG supply. It provides a practical alternative to carrying a separate gas cylinder for your barbecue, provided the appliance is suitable for the vehicle’s regulated gas supply.
The socket is designed for use with propane and butane LPG systems, making it suitable for correctly configured caravan and motorhome gas installations. Its external mounting position allows the barbecue connection to remain accessible from outside the vehicle, helping keep your outdoor cooking setup straightforward.
One of its most important features is the integrated safety coupling, which prevents the gas tap from being opened unless the appropriate connector is correctly fitted. This additional safety mechanism helps prevent accidental gas release when the outlet is disconnected.
The simple one-handed connection system makes attaching and disconnecting compatible outdoor gas appliances convenient. Once the correct gas hose connector is securely engaged, the integrated valve can be operated to control the gas supply.
The Whale Easi-Slide range is designed to provide a neat, coordinated appearance across external caravan and motorhome fittings. The socket can be paired with a compatible Easi-Slide protective lid, available separately in white, grey and black, allowing it to complement your vehicle’s exterior.
When fitted with the correct lid and fully closed, the socket provides IP55-rated protection against dust and water ingress. Its UV-stabilised exterior components are designed for regular outdoor exposure, making the Easi-Slide system practical for touring vehicles.
The outlet features an M14 × 1.5 threaded gas connection with compression olive, designed for 8mm diameter gas pipework. Its nominal operating pressure is 30mbar, making it suitable for appropriately regulated LPG installations.
Manufactured to comply with BS EN 1949, the Whale External BBQ Outlet Socket is designed for installation by a qualified gas engineer. Correct installation and appliance compatibility are essential for safe operation.
Enjoy convenient outdoor cooking with the Whale External Gas BBQ Easi-Slide Socket, combining secure LPG connection, integrated safety protection and practical one-handed operation.
