Unlike external submersible pump assemblies, the UH0042 is specifically designed for water systems featuring an onboard pump. Water is drawn from the external container through the hose and filter assembly by the vehicle’s existing internal pump, making it suitable for correctly configured onboard water installations.
The filter features a simple twist-change design, allowing the cartridge to be removed and replaced without complicated tools or disassembly. Whale recommends replacing the filter after 30 days of use or 3,000 litres of water, whichever comes first, to maintain water quality and avoid unnecessary restrictions to water flow.
A particularly useful feature is the integrated hose holder, which helps keep the hose connection clear of the ground when refilling your external water container. This helps reduce contact with dirt and debris around the campsite.
